has begun, our sleep schedules have been off, our eating patterns have been all over the place and our routines have been thrown right out the window. Don’t get me wrong, summer was welcomed after the longest winter known to mankind.
So how am I coping with all the hustle and bustle? Keep it as simple as possible. Compliance with the change has not been easy, especially on the weekends where my kitchen, refrigerator and stove have been almost virtually unused; at
least they stay clean this way. My victories come at breakfast, snacks and lunch, which I always try to have at home, this means everything is at my disposal. I also try to keep my snacks light; my new easy favourite bites are portable single Greek yogurt and carrots & hummus.
My other victory is that I have been able to keep up with my workout schedule. It’s early enough NOT to interfere with anyone’s schedule or interrupt with the kiddie play time. I continue splitting my workouts into body parts, including but not limited to back, biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest, legs, glutes and add some hard pressed cardio at the end. I feel like a great big hot mess by the time I’m done.
So I vow, if nothing else this summer, to keep the workouts hard as ever and the diet, even though not always compliant, squeaky clean.
Until next Time,
Live from the Inside Out,
