My stems seemed to be doing well that night as I enjoyed a family barbeque but then Sunday morning hit and my legs were starting to tingle. I thought great – here come the DOMS, until I got to camping and they began to sporadically spasm; which continued for 4 freaking days! Not the most comfortable feeling whilst camping at Santa’s village with a bunch of screaming kids. All I wanted to do was lie down with monster ice packs on my legs and instead I was left trying to walk it out and twitching for the next four days.
As I tried to do some light exercises, I realized it was going to be utterly hopeless as even sitting on a toilet was impossible, as was getting off that toilet. OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! Yesterday was the first day I was able to move in a somewhat normal manner. As my alarm clock buzzed at stupid o’clock, I pushed snoozed (which I never, ever do) and convinced myself NOT today!!! I finally rolled over half an hour later (thank God for summer break) and begrudgingly got out of bed, thanks to a weak bladder. Since I was up, I might as well get going to the House of Pain and see how far I can push it.
The sweat session pumped some much needed blood into my heart, brain and legs as every part of me felt absolutely incredible. I guess all I needed was a good soul and legs cleansing to get me to feel like myself again.
Until Next Time,
