This morning I woke up with the nastiest headache. It was clutching onto me like a toddler wanting their mommy after a tumble. I knew the cause of this ailment; the monthly visit from my aunt. Oh that Aunt! She was on her way and she was coming with a big wooden spoon ready to literally smack me up side my head.
Sufficed it to say, it took a wee bit longer to head out the door this morning but I was determined to get to the gym, it was chest day after all. It’s been a while since I had a chest day. I figured walking out of my front door would do the trick to demolish this soreness on my head, but it didn’t. So as I walked into my gym with a throbbing head, I heard the music playing, felt the beat and decided it was time to get to work. My stubbornness is what kept me going today, as my headache wouldn’t let up.
As with this blog, it was a good day to keep it short and simple. Three sets of 12 repetitions of three chest and three triceps exercises. I skipped out on the cardio, as I am trying to build a little more muscle before I shed the fluff.
The headache didn’t let up, actually it, like my biceps, progressed fast and furious. So today we will cut this short so I can stop off at my local drug store and find a remedy for this aching bitch.
